On the Workstations

After you have moved your data to a new server, configure your workstations.

Before you begin

You must complete the set up for the new server. For more information about configuring, see On the New Server.

About this task

Configure the workstation in the HCN Maintenance section.

Procedure

To update the workstation configuration:
  1. Open HCN Maintenance.
  2. Select Maintenance Tasks.
  3. Run the Configuration utility iconConfiguration utility and select MD Live Data.
    You will receive an error and click OK to the prompt.
  4. In the Configuration panel, update the following details:
    • Database Server: New Server Name\HCNSQL07
    • MD Plus Server ESP Server: New Server Name\ESP
    • Document Server: \\New Server Name\ManageEzy\
  5. To update the ManageEzy Configuration:
    1. In the Configuration list, select your MD Live Data and click Update.
    2. When prompting, click the Use UNC Path button.
  6. Open the MedicalDirector Clinical application and ensure you are able to view and save letters and documents.
  7. Repeat the process for HCN sample data.
    Note:
    If the New Server Name does not display in the list, you may need to turn off any Antiviral or Firewall Software on the server, then contact HCN Customer Service on 1300 300 161 to obtain a copy of the Environmental Configurations for MedicalDirector Software.
  8. Repeat the process for all workstations.
